INTRODUCTION
YLENIA: Hello Martina and Lisa! Thank you for joining us. Today, we’ll be asking you some questions about your life as twins.
YLENIA: How does it feel having your sibling in class?
MARTINA AND LISA: Sometimes it feels a bit weird, and sometimes it’s nice. For example, if my friend is sick, I still have my sister to hang out with. Or if I’m sick and miss school, she can tell me what we did that day. If I forget my books in my locker, I just give her the key and she gets them for me. But to be honest, it can get a bit tiring—seeing each other at school and then again at home every single day!
SOPHIE: Would you rather be in the same class or in different classes?
MARTINA AND LISA: Different classes, because it’s a bit much being together all the time. But we like being in the same school so that if we’re alone during break, we can still sit together.
YLENIA: Do people mistake you for each other often?
MARTINA AND LISA: YES! A lot! Teachers, friends, even our family sometimes!
YLENIA & SOPHIE: Okay, here’s a juicy one—have you ever pranked your parents by switching identities?
MARTINA AND LISA: YES! One time at bedtime, we switched pyjamas and went into each other’s beds. When our dad came in to say goodnight, he totally mixed us up! We just burst out laughing!
SOPHIE: Would you rather be friends, siblings, normal twins, or identical twins?
MARTINA AND LISA: Identical twins! It’s more fun—we can match outfits and do pranks. So yeah, definitely stay identical!
YLENIA: Which twin is older?
MARTINA AND LISA: Martina is older—by just one minute! That’s 60 seconds. See how good I am at maths?
SOPHIE: Do you like sharing the same birthday, or would you prefer to have separate ones?
MARTINA AND LISA: Same birthday for sure! It saves money, and instead of two cakes, we just get one.
YLENIA & SOPHIE: How dare you! That’s less cake! 😄
YLENIA: What are your hobbies?
LISA: Gymnastics!
MARTINA: Art.
SOPHIE: What do you want to be when you grow up?
LISA: A gymnastics teacher! I love kids and I love teaching.
MARTINA: Honestly, I have no idea. I don’t even know what I want to do 10 minutes from now!
YLENIA: What subjects are you thinking of choosing for Form 3?
LISA: PE, Biology… and Social Studies.
MARTINA: PE, Biology, and Art.
SOPHIE: Do you share a lot of similarities as twins?
MARTINA AND LISA: Yes! We both love purple and pink, we have the same hair colour, the same eye colour, we both have freckles, and we like the same things.
YLENIA: Since you technically share most things—like the same house and room—do you like it?
MARTINA AND LISA: Not really. It gets a bit annoying seeing each other every second of the day.
