Emma’s Achievement in Trial Motor Sport

Emma recently competed in Sicily, demonstrating her exceptional skill in trial motorsport. She earned an impressive 3rd place in the Expert class and 1st place in the Female Trial category, showcasing her balance, precision, and determination in this demanding discipline.

Trial motorsport is an exhilarating off-road discipline where riders navigate challenging obstacle courses without letting their feet touch the ground. The sport tests balance, control, and technique over speed, making it a unique motorsport that rewards precision over raw power. Courses are filled with natural and man-made obstacles like rocks, steep inclines, and logs, requiring exceptional focus and mastery of the motorcycle.

In this sport, riders are scored based on “dabs”—each time they touch the ground with their foot or lose balance. The goal is to complete sections cleanly with zero dabs, achieving the ideal score. Both male and female riders compete equally, making trial motorsport a true test of skill and technique.

Emma’s fantastic result in Sicily is a testament to her hard work and dedication in this challenging sport. Congratulations to Emma for her inspiring performance!

  1. Well done Emma!!
Not many have the determination and guts to practice trial riding. Next time get your motorbike in the photo. I’m wondering what bike you ride. Back in my day (1980s) Montesa (Cota, if I remember correctly), Bultaco Sherpa, Yamaha were very popular.
Anyway, I wish you success in your efforts and may you touch ground only when the trial is done.
Take good care of yourself zaghzugha!!
