Welcome Back to Our Lady Immaculate School!

At Our Lady Immaculate School, we kicked off the new academic year with a variety of exciting activities for both primary and secondary students.

In Primary school, educators warmly welcomed students back to their classrooms. Year 1 students started a day later and are settling into the world of Primary school life, beginning their exciting educational journey.

In Secondary school, we organized activities to help students ease back into school life, reminding them that school is not only about learning but also about fun and personal growth. It’s a journey we embark on together for the months ahead. Highlights included a welcome message from the Head of School Ms. Lucia, a session from the school’s Pastoral Team, an exotic reptile show by Dino and his team, a mindfulness session, and a fitness class led by Ms. Lara and Ms. Dorianne.

Additionally, Secondary school Deputy Heads Ms. Rosella and Mr. Morana held sessions with their students, where they outlined the rules and expectations for the upcoming scholastic year. Secondary students also had two sessions with their Form Teachers, where they participated in team-building activities to foster a sense of unity and cooperation within their classes.

During break time, students were surprised with ice cream, and to their delight, Jamie and Taryn from Bay Radio made a special appearance to wish them a fantastic school year ahead.

Over the next few days, students settled into their new routines. On the 30th of September, the primary school celebrated the beginning of the scholastic year with a Mass. Secondary school students will have their first Mass this Friday, following the annual blessing of animals, a cherished tradition that celebrates the feast of St. Francis. Students are encouraged to bring their pets to school, but parents or guardians need to stay on the premises to enjoy the celebration and to take their pets back home afterward.

We are excited about the adventures this new academic year holds, and we look forward to sharing many memorable moments with our students.
