5. Seals can sleep underwater.

6. When diving seals automatically close their nostrils.

7. Seals can spend up to 15 to 30 minutes underwater.

8. Canada has the largest population of seals, estimated at 7.5 million seals.

9. Seals generally live 20 to 35 years in the wild, depending on their species.

10. Seals are mammals not fish, that means they breathe air and drink milk.

11. Baby seals are called pups.

12. Seals live in cold and warm oceans depending on their species.
