Interview with Ms. Petra

I go to the gym and love going for runs. I also enjoy reading books.

From a very young girl, I’ve always wanted to become a teacher. I love to work with children and help them explore their talents.

Science 😊

Every day brings new moments. I enjoy watching the faces light up after understanding a tricky concept. I love the enthusiasm the girls bring to class as well the random hugs and thoughtful notes.

The girls’ trust, laughter and little conversations that show they feel safe and valued. Also, being part of a school community.

I comfort them and listen to why they are feeling that way. Together, we find ways how we can turn that frown upside down 😊

My favourite teacher was my Home Economics teacher. She believed in me in ways no other teacher did.

A teacher who cares deeply about her students, who respects, listens and celebrates them. She helps build curiosity and confidence and helps them believe in themselves.

I point it out to the girls, if they wouldn’t have noticed first 😉 and use it as an example that everybody makes mistakes and that it is okay to do so.

I took part in a competition from a local radio station. I won and they called me in class. The girls were heard on the radio too! A special moment to treasure!

Going for a jog or a training session.

No one is perfect! Making mistakes along the way is part of growing and improving ourselves. Each and every one SHINE in your own way and you are all destined for greatness.

Life is full of ups and downs. However, we shouldn’t let negativity define us. We should always try to look at the positive side of it.

One of my favourite quotes is: “For every mistake is a lesson and every failure is an opportunity.” Never give up, just because it’s hard. You are stronger than you think and far more capable than you know!
